VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) Limited, a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, signed an agreement with Baidyanath LNG Pvt Ltd for the deployment of 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks.
The initiative aims to expand the use of LNG in long-haul transportation and develop LNG corridors across Central India. This partnership builds on an earlier memorandum of understanding signed in August 2024 at the inauguration of Baidyanath LNG’s station in Nagpur, where the first fleet of Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks was launched.
Under this collaboration, VECV and Baidyanath LNG will work to enhance India’s LNG ecosystem by deploying trucks with fleet operators, training technicians on LNG technology, and establishing a robust LNG fueling network. The focus is on supporting a cleaner and more efficient transportation system.
The Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck, equipped with Volvo Group's globally proven engine technology, features a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine delivering 260 HP of power and 1000 Nm of torque. It includes features such as an air-suspended driver seat and HVAC for improved comfort and driver productivity. The truck also incorporates advanced telematics and predictive diagnostics via the My Eicher fleet management app and the industry-first Uptime Centre for real-time vehicle insights and maintenance support.
