Highlights of Issue :

A global rebound from Covid-19 combined with extraordinary demand for winter LNG cargoes, lowest EU gas storage level in five years and gas supply trouble in the US- first due to hurricane Ida and now hurricane Nicholas has pushed natural gas and LNG prices to its record high level.
Early in September, Hurricane Ida disrupted sizable feed gas supply in the US and now on Sep 14 hurricane Nicholas knocked out Freeport LNG liquefaction facility on the Texas Gulf Coast.

BP delivers its first carbon neutral cargo to Taiwan

BP PLC said Monday that it has delivered its first carbon-offset liquefied natural gas cargo in the Asia Pacific region.
The British energy giant said the shipment was delivered to CPC Corporation at the Yung An terminal in Taiwan in September.

BP said carbon dioxide and methane emissions associated with the cargo were estimated using its own quantification methodology.
"Global demand for LNG is growing rapidly. bp intends to continue supporting this ‎growth by diversifying its offer, including by developing bundled carbon offset LNG ‎products to meet customers' demand," the company said.
