Pakistan issues buy tender for Aug delivery cargo

Pakistan LNG Ltd (PLL) has entered the spot market after six months. PLL has issued a buy tender for a spot cargo to be delivered 27-28 Aug to 170,000cbm floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) “BW Integrity”.
The buy tender, issued on Jun 26 will close on Jul 27. Last time PLL had issued a buy tender in Dec for a cargo to be delivered in Feb. The buy tender was awarded to PetroChina at 8.594% of Brent price.
With Covid-19 brekout, Pakistan had to scale down its industrial activities which resulted into drastic cut in spot LNG import during the first half of 2020. Pakistan also faced payment dues from the power generating companies, consuming RLNG in power generation.
