India's RIL secures spot LNG cargo at record lowest price

India's Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) believed to have secured a LNG cargo for below $3.00 from either Shell or Engie. Sources said the cargo, scheduled for delivery during early part of April to Shell operated 5.00mil mt/year Hazira  terminal, had been secured by RIL at a lowest price, in more than a decade. RIL requires around two cargoes every month mainly for its refineries and petrochemical projects, located on the West coast of India. RIL imports most of the cargoes through the Shell operated Hazira terminal. Among suppliers Shell and Engie believed to have spot LNG cargoes available for delivery during April and May delivery windows.
