Egypt to sell two prompt LNG cargos whereas Argentine IEASA seeks to buy 30 cargoes

Among LNG importers and suppliers of LNG, Egypt has issued two new prompt LNG sell tenders. The state-owned EGAS has issued a sell tender for 150,000cbm cargo loading at Idku on Feb 3-4 with tender closing on Jan 29. In another sell tender EGAS has offered 155000cbm cargo for loading from Damietta LNG on Feb 11-12. Due to weak domestic demand for natural gas, Egypt has focussed more on LNG export.

Among LNG buyers, Argentine energy company Integracion Energetica Argentina(IEASA), formerly known as ENARSA, is seeking 30 LNG cargoes for delivery between March and August, according to Reuters report.

The cargoes at 2.1 trillion British thermal unit (Tbtu) each are for delivery into the Escobar terminal in Argentina, one of the sources said, adding that the deadline for offers is Feb. 7.

IEASA is seeking one cargo for March, seven for May, 10 for June, 10 for July and two for August.
